Spirits of Más

Day of the Dead Holiday

Throughout the decorum at Más one may see artifacts celebrating one of Mexico’s most important holidays, The Day of the Dead, {Día de los Muertos} a time to remember and pray for family and friends that have passed on.  Eating and partying, as well as, honoring the deceased using sugar skulls & marigolds are common occurrences during this celebration.

This Mexican celebration occurs on November 2 in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints’ Day (November 1) and All Souls’ Day (November 2).

Ghost Sightings at Más

Coincidentally, (or maybe not) Más has been reported to be home to some lingering spirits. Many employees and some guests have had their own ghost encounters at Más.  Numerous witnesses have reported seeing a woman in a long white dress running up the stairwell to the roof.  Some have even described seeing her long brown hair.  It is rumored that this may be the young woman who threw herself off the rooftop during the Depression…

John, the owner, recalls during renovations in the wee hours of the morning, he would often get such an intense cold chill when he approached the front stairwell that he was hesitant to take the stairs.  Crucifixes and other artifacts have also been known to suddenly fly off of the wall behind the Cantina bar.

Local Psychic Medium, Ricky Wood

A deep interest in our looming spirits, especially with the plethora of sightings of the woman in the long white gown, inspired us to call upon the services of our local friend Ricky Wood.  A nationally renowned Psychic Medium and the subject of the recently released book, They’re Not Gone, Ricky has demonstrated his ability to communicate with spirits at Más.
